Mums - That Crown out of it look is new! No, no that suit has not shrunk

Mums - That Crown out of it look is new! No, no that suit has not shrunk. The "half-ma t" trousers and sleeves and the super-short jacket were designed that way. The suit is the latest thing for boys aged about six to eight. It was shown in London yesterday (14-9-56) by the man who created it, fashion expert John Cavanagh, who usually makes exlusive clothes for women. The suit, which is going to an international clothing exhibition in America, is Cavanagh's idea of how a British boy should be dressed for formal wear. He said last night: "I don't know much about boys of six, but this is the way i should like to see them dressed". School boy David Robinson, 8, who's seen here modelling the suit had the last word. He said: "It's lovely - but I'm no caused to shorts and a blazer." September 1956 P008685
