Capturing the spirit of Christmas cheer, Miss Doris Ker, a beloved teacher at Reigate Priory Middle School in Bell Street, had an extraordinary request for the Daily Mirror back in December 1972. Seeking to surprise her school's football team with unique presents, she wrote a heartfelt letter asking for pictures of none other than Rachel Welch as a footballer.
