Southern Independent Television held a reception at the Nightingale restaurant in

Southern Independent Television held a reception at the Nightingale restaurant in Berkeley Square this morning at which they showed a preview of their new series Ladybirds in which 7 singers tell all about their lives to interviewers Shaw Taylor and Terence Carroll. As luck would have it the long arm of the law descended on photographers trying to take pictures of three of the Ladybirds - Marianne Faithfull, Sandie Shaw and Dana Valery - on the pavement in the square, with a request to move along there. 13th August 1965

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print from Memory Lane Prints, we are transported back to the vibrant atmosphere of 1960s London. Southern Independent Television hosted a glamorous reception at the renowned Nightingale restaurant in Berkeley Square. The occasion was marked by an exclusive preview of their highly anticipated new series, Ladybirds. Ladybirds promises an intimate glimpse into the lives of seven talented singers who fearlessly share their stories with esteemed interviewers Shaw Taylor and Terence Carroll. As anticipation filled the air, fate intervened when photographers attempted to capture candid moments of three Ladybirds - Marianne Faithfull, Sandie Shaw, and Dana Valery - on the pavement outside the square. However, just as these iconic figures were about to be immortalized through lenses, law enforcement stepped in with a polite request for photographers to move along. Undeterred by this unexpected interruption, it only adds an element of intrigue and excitement to this already memorable event. This photograph not only captures a moment frozen in time but also serves as a testament to the cultural significance that music and fashion held during this era. With its impeccable style and undeniable talent showcased within its frames, Eddie Waters expertly encapsulates both the allure and mystique surrounding these influential musicians.
