Gradually the former premises of J & J Cash in Kingsfield Road, Coventry are being demolished. The premises have stood empty since Cash s, best known for its woven name tapes, moved to a smaller, more modern factory in Torrington Avenue. The firm had been in Kingfield Road since 1856, with later additions to the building. In the 1980s the site became too large and inefficient with very high overheads. The move is seen as giving Cashs a chance to survive. 17th October 1985
