Look out world, here we come... intrepid globetrotters from the Scout movement, who are out to raise £ 8, 000 to finance a trip to Korea for the 17th World Jamboree in 1991. They are from left: Richard Beaumont, James Ellam, Graeme Murray, and Robin Ferguson. The scouts each have to raise £ 2, 000 for the three-week trip which will include seven nights in Japan and 14 under canvas in the Sorek National Park, Korea, where the jamboree will take place. The youngsters have decided to pool their wits are jointly raising the funds, instead of individually. Future money spinners include a chariot race and coffee mornings. Graeme and Richard are both members of the 35th Huddersfield (Lepton Methodist) Scout group. Robin is a member of the 5th Huddersfield (Skelmanthorpe), and James attends the 7th Huddersfield (Clayton West) group. 19th May 1990. © Mirrorpix
