EDITORS COMMENTS
Roll em. . . Giving their giant tyre a last big push up, these boys from Battyeford Middle School in Mirfield showcased their determination and community spirit as they raised an impressive £61.28 for Sport Aid. Captured in this nostalgic print from July 8th, 1986, Christopher Martin, Robert Argyle, John Bridgestock, and Christopher Andrewartha can be seen pushing the massive tyre around Mirfield estate for a remarkable 10 laps - equivalent to approximately 2 1/2 miles. These young athletes were not alone in their fundraising efforts.
