Hade Edge Band led the parade from Gilthwaites Lane to the cricket ground, where Jane Bullivant, 11, was crowned carnival queen by predecessor Faye Earnshaw. The carnival was officially opened by retired village shopkeeper Bill Barradell. 12th September 1987
