Sandy the mischievous beagle, performed another trick last night
Sandy the mischievous beagle, performed another trick last night - and had to be rescued by firemen. The 12-week-old puppy, proving a real handful for owner Mrs Jose Howes, managed to get his head firmly trapped in a wrought iron gate at his Taylor Hill home. He was stuck fast for 30 minutes before the fire crew from Huddersfield arrived to cut the gate and ease him out. Now Sandy is keeping well clear of the gate but doubtless planning another escapade. Said Mrs Howes: " I have never known anything like him. He is always getting into mischief and this was the last straw. I am told that beagles are very strong-willed and he certainly wants to have the last bark.". 17th September 1987

Sandy the mischievous beagle strikes again! Last night, this 12-week-old bundle of energy managed to get himself into quite a predicament. With his head firmly trapped in a wrought iron gate at his Taylor Hill home, Sandy found himself stuck for a nerve-wracking 30 minutes. Thankfully, help was on its way as the fire crew from Huddersfield rushed to the scene. With their expertise and precision, they skillfully cut through the gate and freed our furry friend from his confinement. It's safe to say that Sandy won't be testing his luck with that particular gate anytime soon! Owner Mrs Jose Howes couldn't help but express her amazement at Sandy's constant mischief-making. She shared, 'I have never known anything like him. He is always getting into trouble, and this incident takes the cake. ' It seems that beagles are indeed strong-willed creatures who love having the last bark. Now safely out of harm's way, Sandy is keeping a respectful distance from any potential traps but undoubtedly plotting his next escapade. This adorable print captures both the mischievous spirit of our beloved pet and the heroic efforts of our local firemen.
