Four-year-old Emily Sylvester presents a £300 cheque to National Society for

Four-year-old Emily Sylvester presents a £ 300 cheque to National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children regional organiser Mr Russell Smith, from Crosland Hill Playgroup and Mother and Toddler Club. The money was raised when some 30 children from the two groups took part in a sponsored walk around the grounds of Crosland Hill Methodist Church, where they meet. A cake stall and tombola were organised to boost the proceeds and cream teas were served. The presentation was held at the church, when Mr Smith gave a talk and showed a film on the work of the NSPCC. 16th September 1986. © Mirrorpix
