Huddersfield Town goalie Steve Hardwick is ready and waiting for shots while Meltham Under-11 team lines up. Eight-year-old Robert Yarker arranged for the team, which he trains with, to spend an hour scoring sponsored goals against Steve. He volunteered to tackle the event after hearing his mother, Jill talk about the Joyce Dunn appeal for an electric bed at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. Together with his pals in the team Robert, of Meltham, hopes to raise nearly £300 for the appeal, which was organised after Mrs Dunn was injured in a car accident in the village. Mrs Dunn's husband, Meltham Town Council member Alec Dunn, is also pictured. 9th June 1991
