Salendine Nooks super six-year old swimmer Christopher Sharp has broken a record as the youngest child to enter Huddersfield Amateur Swimming Clubs long-distance swim. Christopher had only 12 lengths to go at the official finishing time. Pool staff at Huddersfields Cambridge Road Baths allowed him to continue, and he finished just 12 minutes later, completing the four miles in 4 hours 42 mins. Christophers seven-year old brother, Philip and sister Melanie, eight, swam the distance in about 3 hours 40 mins.
