EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this heartwarming photo print, we witness the pure joy and pride radiating from two new mothers, Donna Bamford and Mandy Walker. Born in the early hours of a rare Leap Year day at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, their newborns bring an extra sprinkle of magic to this already special occasion. Donna Bamford, a 22-year-old resident of Newsome, cradles her precious son Michael Graham with sheer delight. Joining Mrs. Bamford in experiencing this unique motherhood journey are Gillian McGowan from Paddock, Susan Cronie from Cowlersley, Donna Fryer from Shepley, and Marie Ryan from Dalton – all proudly embracing their little ones born today. Capturing the essence of love and hope that accompanies these miraculous arrivals; this photograph encapsulates the beauty found within maternity wards during such exceptional moments. The image serves as a reminder that every child is a blessing regardless of when they enter our lives. Transporting us back to February 29th, 1988 - an era filled with innocence and warmth - we are reminded that even amidst changing times some things remain constant: the unbreakable bond between mothers and their newborns.
