Three-and-a-half-year-old William Day was presented with the Raymond Pearson water baby cup at the water babies swimming session at Elland baths. William, the son of Mr and Mrs Andrew Day, of Martin Green Lane, Greetland, has been attending the classes since he was six months old and his 18-month-old brother, Edward, is now also a water baby. The presentation was made by the Mayoress of Calderdale, Mrs Mary Lawler, and Deputy Mayoress Mrs Shirley Toner.
