The Princess is wearing a little black dress designed by Greek fashion designer Christina Stambolian. The dress is an off the shoulder design and worn with a striking monochrome choker and elegant pearl earrings.
It has become known as " The Revenge Dress" because on television the same night was an interview with Prince Charles who revealed to Johnathan Dimbleby that he had tried to be " Faithful and honourable" when marrying Lady Diana Spencer in 1981, " until it became irretrievably broken down, us both having tried".
Prince Charles and Princess Diana officially divorced on
28th August1996.
