This print showcases a remarkable drawing of a tin ingot discovered amidst the fossil wood from a submerged forest at Praa Sands, Cornwall. Unearthed during storms in 1974, this particular ingot weighs an impressive 3.8 kg and measures 18.8 cm x 4.6 cm. The intricate drawing was skillfully created by R. D. Penhallurick and featured as Figure (a) on page 234 of his renowned publication "Tin in Antiquity". The artist's caption describes the ingot as circular and plano-convex, bearing a raised cross that was likely cut into the mold during its creation.
