EDITORS COMMENTS
Captured in this poignant print from August 1991, we witness an extraordinary act of compassion and determination. Robert Putt, a resident of St Austell, Cornwall, embarked on a charity pub crawl like no other. Motivated by his step-mother's battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), he decided to raise funds for the Mid Cornwall MS Society in a truly remarkable way. With gloves tightly gripping the pavement and knee pads protecting him along the arduous journey, Robert crawled on his hands and knees for an astonishing 8-mile distance. The photograph freezes this awe-inspiring moment as he crawls from the Cornish Arms in St Blazey towards his destination at the Polgooth Inn. The image captures not only Robert's physical exertion but also his unwavering dedication to supporting those affected by MS. His selfless act resonates deeply within our hearts as we witness one individual's commitment to making a difference in their community.
