The virus contains double-stranded (DNA) surrounded by a protein capsid (coat), which is composed of 252 capsomers (subunits seen as tiny ovals) arranged into an icosahedron, or 20 faced figure. 12 of these capsomers are surrounded by five neighbours & are called pentons.
