The two men later jumped into a car and headed for Northolt where a helicopter will take them to Brize Norton Airfield. A VC 10 will then fly them to Kennedy Airport, New York. The race, organised by the London Dail Mail, is from the top of the Post Office Tower to the summit of the Empire State Building.
