TT race to be held at new Crystal Palace track?-RAC official pays visit of inspection.
Captain a W Phillips, the Royal Automobile Clubs Competition Secretary, paid a visit of inspection to the new road racing track which is to be opened at the Crystal Palace site this week.
The track is being considered for the tourist Trophy race, which is to be held this year over the Ards circuit, Ulster.

Japanese machines enjoyed a great success in the two lightweight solo events during the first day of the Tourist Trophy Race at Douglas, Isle of Man. Honda machines took the first three placings in both the 125 and 250 cc races. Picture shows: Bob McIntyre cornering on his Honda machine during the 250 cc race. McIntyre, of Scotland, led for most of the way, but his engine failed on the last lap to let Hailwood ride to victory.
