Princess Elizabeth is the toast of the white hunters of East Africa. Armed with

Princess Elizabeth is the toast of the white hunters of East Africa. Armed with her favourite cine-camera, she went hunting " The Four Hooligans", the giant lions which were featured in the Royal Command Film " Where No Vultures Fly". Within 15 minutes of driving into the National Park on the outskirts of the town she found one of the lions lying three feet from his kill under a tree. Her hunting brake cautiously approached to within 20 yards. The Hooligan rose, sauntered a few yards towards her and then turned back. In these few minutes the Princess, hatless and with a kerchief tied round her head, obtained some of the finest close-ups ever taken by a visitor to the preserve. It was the first time Her Royal Highness had ever photographed a lion.
Photo Shows: Princess Elizabeth (front, near side to the lion) and the Duke of Edinburgh, seen at back, photographed in their hunting wagon when they drove through the National Park, in Kenya. The lion and his kill is seen under tree on right.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, Princess Elizabeth of England takes on the role of a fearless adventurer in the wilds of East Africa. Armed with her beloved cine-camera, she embarks on a thrilling hunt for "The Four Hooligans" the majestic lions featured in the Royal Command Film "Where No Vultures Fly". With unwavering determination, Princess Elizabeth ventures into the National Park on the outskirts of town and within mere minutes, stumbles upon one of these awe-inspiring creatures resting under a tree just three feet away from its recent kill. Undeterred by danger, she cautiously approaches within 20 yards alongside her hunting brake. As if acknowledging her presence, one of The Hooligans rises and leisurely walks towards her before turning back. In those precious moments, Her Royal Highness seizes an extraordinary opportunity to capture some of the most remarkable close-up shots ever taken by a visitor to this preserve. It marks an unforgettable milestone as it is also her first time photographing such a magnificent lion. This incredible image showcases Princess Elizabeth at the forefront while seated near side to the lion in their hunting wagon. Accompanied by her husband, Duke Philip of Edinburgh who stands behind her in support, they traverse through Kenya's National Park together. Onlookers can witness both royalty and nature harmoniously coexisting as they observe the lion and its prey beneath a towering tree. Taken on February 4th, 1952 by Royalty (not affiliated with any company), this print immortalizes Princess Elizabeth's adventurous spirit and passion for capturing life's most breathtaking moments through photography.
