Swinbourne, born in Wolverhampton in 1924, is considered one of the greatest players in the history of the club. He made his debut for Wolves in 1946, following his service in the British Army during World War II. Swinbourne's skill and determination quickly made him a fan favorite, and he went on to make over 400 appearances for the team, scoring an impressive 125 goals.
