Parma Collection

Parma (Macropodidae) is a genus of macropodid marsupials, commonly known as wallabies, and are native to Australia and New Guinea and are closely related to kangaroos. Wallabies have short, thick fur that can be gray, brown or reddish in color. They have long hind legs for hopping and powerful forelimbs for climbing trees. Their diet consists mainly of grasses, leaves, fruits and flowers. Wallabies live in groups called mobs or warrens and communicate with each other through vocalizations such as grunts or barks, and are shy animals but can become quite tame when kept in captivity. Parma wallabies are an important part of the Australian ecosystem as they help disperse seeds from plants they eat throughout their range.
