Ando Hiroshige Collection

Ando Hiroshige was a Japanese artist who is best known for his landscape prints. He was born in Edo (now Tokyo) in 1797 and began his career as an apprentice to the renowned ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Toyohiro. Hiroshige's work often depicted scenes of everyday life, such as travelers on roads or boats, and he also produced many landscape prints of Japan's countryside.
