Utagawa Hiroshige Collection

Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) was a Japanese artist and printmaker of the ukiyo-e style. He is best known for his landscape prints, which often featured beautiful scenes of nature, such as mountains, rivers, and trees. His work was highly influential in the development of Western art during the 19th century. He also produced a number of woodblock prints depicting everyday life in Edo (modern day Tokyo). Hiroshige's works are characterized by their bold colors and strong composition. His influence can be seen in many modern artists who have been inspired by his work.
