Marcantonio Raimondi Collection

Marcantonio Raimondi (1480-1534) was an Italian engraver and printmaker who is considered one of the most important figures in the history of European printmaking. He was born in Bologna and trained under the goldsmith Antonio Pollaiuolo. Raimondi is best known for his engravings after works by Raphael, which were widely distributed throughout Europe.
