"A Blast from the Past: Winston Teague and His Frazer Nash Falcon Shine at the 2024 VSCC Pomeroy Trophy The first track event of the Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) season kicked off in style at Silverstone, Northamptonshire, England, on a drizzly yet exciting 17th of February 2024. The Pomeroy Trophy, a renowned competition featuring cars from all eras and types, brought together enthusiasts and motorsport aficionados for a day filled with nostalgia, speed, and fun. Among the iconic machines that graced the full Grand Prix circuit was the Frazer Nash Falcon, driven by the skilled Winston Teague. This historic vehicle, first run in 1952, stood out amidst the pre-war saloon cars and sports cars, showcasing its retro charm and undeniable racing prowess. The Pomeroy Trophy consisted of four auto-tests followed by forty minutes of racing on the legendary circuit. With the drizzle adding an extra layer of challenge, competitors faced a day filled with tests of skill and endurance. Three trophies were up for grabs: the Pomeroy Trophy, Densham Trophy, Pomeroy Edwardian Trophy, Voiturette Trophy, and the Gordon Spice Cup. Winston Teague, hailing from England, masterfully navigated his Frazer Nash Falcon through the tests and trials, leaving spectators in awe of his speed and precision. The drizzle and dull weather only added to the excitement, making for a truly memorable motorsport experience. As the day came to a close, the historic cars roared off the track, leaving behind a trail of nostalgia and the promise of more thrilling events to come. Chris McEvoy, of CJM Photography, captured this moment of pure fun and competition, adding another iconic image to his Motorsport Collections.
