The Early Christian Monuments of Ravenna, located in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, are a series of monuments and buildings that date back to the 5th and 6th centuries. They include the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, which is a mausoleum built for Galla Placidia, daughter of Emperor Theodosius I; the Neonian Baptistery; and Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, which is an early Christian basilica. Other monuments include San Vitale Basilica, with its stunning Byzantine mosaics; Sant'Apollinare in Classe; and Arian Baptistery. These sites are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites due to their importance as symbols of early Christianity in Europe.
