EDITORS COMMENTS
Great moment of triumph for Everton FC as they secured a historic 3-0 victory over Arsenal at Goodison Park during the 2013-14 Premier League season. In this exhilarating photo, Everton's Kevin Mirallas (left) and Steven Naismith (right) celebrate in jubilation after Mirallas scored the third goal for the Toffees. But the spotlight was also on Arsenal's Mikel Arteta, who inadvertently scored an own goal during the match. The own goal came in the 62nd minute, when Arteta attempted to clear a cross from Leighton Baines, but instead misjudged the ball and sent it soaring into the back of his own net. The mistake proved costly for Arsenal, as Everton continued to dominate the game and sealed their victory with further goals from Romelu Lukaku and Naismith. Mirallas' goal was a result of a well-worked team move, with Naismith providing the final assist. The Belgian winger finished off the move with a cool finish, sending the Everton faithful into raptures. The celebrations between Mirallas and Naismith encapsulate the team spirit and camaraderie that was on display throughout the match. This victory was particularly sweet for Everton fans, as it came after a run of poor form and put them back in the race for a European place. It was also a reminder of the team's potential and the talent they possess, with Mirallas and Naismith playing pivotal roles in the success. Peter Byrne captured this moment perfectly, with the emotions of the players and the passion of the fans on full display. This photo is a testament to the excitement and drama of football, and a reminder of Everton's triumphant day against Arsenal.
