Eisenbahn-Coupe / Railway Coupe (colour litho)

8666312 Eisenbahn-Coupe / Railway Coupe (colour litho) by German School, (20th century); Private Collection; (add.info.: Eisenbahn-Coupe. Translation: Railway Coupe. Before cars, planes and airships became the fastest means of transport, only the railways were available. The four-class system applied here, but the compartments were smaller and narrower than today. Since there were no dining cars, long-distance travelers had to eat their meals at a large table in the train station waiting rooms, which were divided according to class.
