8660755 Socrates addressing the Athenians (litho) by Heath, Dudley (1867-1945); Private Collection; (add.info.: Socrates addressing the Athenians. The famous philosopher Socrates was the son of Sophroniscus, a sculptor, and cannot have been born later than 469 BC. He took part in three campaigns, in which he distinguished himself by his bravery.
