An Indian sowar rides through the shattered landscape of the Western Front. Hodsons Horse served in France from November 1914 until the Indian Cavalry left the Western Front in February 1918. They fought at Givenchy in 1914, on the Somme in 1916 and at Cambrai in 1917. On leaving France they went to Palestine.
