A sixth plate ambrotype mounted and framed photographic miniature. A view across to the port quarter of the iron steamer Yorkshire (1871), towards a large group of well-dressed people, many looking towards the camera. On the railing is a life ring with the words YORKSHIRE and LONDON on it. The ship is moored alongside a quay or dock, as the far side of the dock is visible off the stern.
