Cartouche-shaped box, the lid and lobed baluster sides engraved, cast and embossed with floral scrolls partly enamelled in opaque blue, the cover applied with an oval convex translucent blue guilloche enamel plaque set with old and rose-cut diamond studded mirrored initials FW a royal coronet above, within a dye-stamped floral gold rim, flanked by eight silver-mounted old-cut diamonds, the base centred with a reserve engraved with a posy of flowers surrounded by feathered, foliate and c-shaped scrolls

This print showcases a stunning collection of snuff boxes, each one a masterpiece in its own right. The top left box is a German jewelled and enamelled gold royal presentation snuff-box by Carl Martin Weishaupt & Sohne, exquisitely crafted with intricate floral scrolls and adorned with diamond-studded mirrored initials FW. On the top right, we have another German paste-set and enamelled gold presentation snuff-box by the same maker, featuring beautiful foliate scrolls and the vari-colour enamelled arms of Bremen, Lubeck, and Hamburg. Moving to the center left, we find an unusual French jewelled and enamelled gold snuff-box designed for exportation to the Indian market. Created by Louis-Francois Tronquoy, this rectangular box is enveloped in turquoise blue enamel and embellished with an Indian elephant cast in gold studded with sapphire and diamonds. On the center right sits a Swiss enamelled silver-gilt singing-bird box crafted by Jacques Bruguier. This rectangular beauty boasts hunting trophies on its cover against a blue enameled ground while concealing a colorfully plumed singing bird inside that rotates on its axis. Finally, at the bottom left rests a Victorian jeweled and enameled gold presentation snuff-box made by William Chapman. Its heavy rectangular frame features an exquisite translucent blue enamel panel inset with scrolling projections flanked by three-dimensional cast oak leaves. Last but not least is a Swiss jeweled and enameled gold presentation snuff-box created by Jean-Georges Remond. This rectangular box showcases raised silver-mounted scrolling initials JM adorned with old mine-cut diamonds framed within stamped gold mounts depicting various fields of knowledge such as Medicine, Astronomy, Music, Painting, and Gardening.
