Study of youth by Leonardo Da Vinci, Renaissance art
Vintage illustration Study of youth by Leonardo Da Vinci, Renaissance art. In 1481 Leonardo da Vinci was commissioned to paint an altarpiece depicting the Adoration of the Magi for the abbey church of San Donato a Scopeto in Florence. He produced a large-scale, positively visionary composition, in which, on an architectural stage, he combined the Adoration itself with a large number of marginal motifs and lively groupings. The work, however, remained one of the master's great unfinished projects
