Overland Mail Company, ran a passenger service and delivered mail, from St. Louis to Placerville, California. It operated from the 1850s until 1862, when it went bankrupt and was purchased for $800, 000 by Stagecoach King Ben Holliday. This coach is drawn by six horses, and carries about 15 passengers, including men, women, a child, and three Chinese men (BSLOC_2019_7_89).
