BL3283020 Add 15296 (1) f.93r, Dasaratha's body has been removed from the cauldron of oil and is now brought on a litter, carried by four men, to the burning-ground on the bank of the river Saray?. It is preceded by a bullock cart loaded with wood and followed by the two princes dressed in simple dhota«s and by many of Dasaratha's women. The pyre is then lit and sacrifical offerings are poured on it to the accompaniment of the required Vedic chants.
