The rectangular backs, composed of three framed panels with leaf and dart mouldings, are surmounted by heavy scrolled pediments enriched with fluting. Vitruvian scrolls and a central shell; the solid wood seats have fluted rails with a pierced apron formed of paired scrolls and acanthus sprays joined by an oak swag; square panelled legs and arms of console design carved with stylised foliage and husks; the front legs lightly stippled.
