They and their families enjoyed a long hot summer and he wrote in his memoirs:we were often all together, sketching at the little springhead of the Tillingbourne, at the top of Friday Street.... I made four pictures from this very pool.... Sweet, sunny hours we had! How can life offer anything happier?
