Framed Print of Thora Hardy Comparing Fur Sample with Chart
(Original Caption). Dr. Thora Hardy, microanalyst of the Fish and Wildlife Service at the Wildlife Research Refuge at Patuxent, Maryland, might be described as the Furs Lady of the Land. Her job, which entails exhaustive analyses of furs under all sorts of conditions, was created in 1938 because of her outstanding ability in the study of furs. The purpose of Dr. Hardy's research is to improve and to set up standards in the quality of furs on the North American market. Trappers, breeders and buyers, alike, closely follow her findings. Currently, Dr. Hardy is giving particular attention to domestic production of furs which formerly came exclusively from foreign sources. Persian lamb, Karakul sheep, and Angora rabbits are some of the animals in this category. Here, Dr. Hardy compares an Angora skin with fur fiber samples listed on a chart before her. The fur is measured for six, stre. Unleash your creativity with premium art prints that turn any room into a visual masterpiece.
