Framed Print of Blair Athol, the Winner of the Derby, 1864. Creator: Unknown

Blair Athol, the Winner of the Derby, 1864. Engraving of a sketch by Mr. Harry Hall, of Newmarket. The chestnut stands very little short of sixteen hands, but looks less, in consequence of his very fine proportions and well-rounded ribs. His face is remarkable for its white, which extends to each eye and right over his nostrils, and he carries his flag mast gaily'. From Illustrated London News, 1864.
