EXETER, Devon.The remains of St Sidwells Church on Sidwell Street after bomb damage during the Exeter blitz, photographed by Margaret Tomlinson in 1942. This church was built on the site of a medieval chapel in 1812-13 in the Gothic style. A bomb fell at 2.43 am on the morning of 4th May 1942 destroying most of the building.
