APSLEY HOUSE, London. Virgin and Child'. A copy of Raphaels Madonna della Sedia - the faces were attributed to Raphael (1483-1520), and the chiaroscurro to Giulio Romano (1499-1546), but neither attribution stands up. Possibly early 17th century. Currently no attribution. Previously part of the Spanish Royal Collection. Captured by Wellington at Vitoria in 1813.
