Nagasaki site of second Atomic bomb this time a Plutonium bomb.
Wrecked street car/tram destroyed by the Nagasaki A-Bomb. Survivor Koichi Wada was due to be driving this street car and would have been killed if by chance there hadn t been an accident on the line earlier.
Koichi Wada, 88, conscripted into working as a tram driver, should have been right next to the epicentre that morning, but a hold-up on the route saved his life.
Even though I was four kilometres away I was flung from my seat, he recalls.
It felt like the ground was floating. I was covered in cuts and bruises, but I am fortunate. © Mirrorpix
