Gordon Lonsdale also known as Konon Trofimovich Molody a member of the Portland Spy Ring. This band of Soviet spys stole secrets from the Admiralty Underwater Weapons Establishment at Portland. The intelligence gain was passed back to their Russian master using micro-dots. In 1961 Lonsdale was sentenced to 25 years in jail.
