Britains Jam for civilians and troops is an all the year round occupation. Thousands upon thousands of tons of jam are made every year at a Maidenhead Jam Factory. Girls are the main employee, and most of the work is done by machinery. Jam is boiled by the hundred weights, and sold in jays of only a pound, not touched by hand.
Picture shows the jam is pumped from the container and enters the jars all by machinery.
