A true love romance gripped one stockton bookworm so much she just couldn t let it go - for 22 years. And a would-be weightlifter must have become so engrossed in the sport he forgot to return the manual he borrowed in 1967. These are just two of the books which turned up during the recent library amnesty in Cleveland. Staff at the 43 branches in the county turned a blind eye when borrowers returned more than 6, 800 books which should have been back on the shelves a long time ago.
