His wife, Mrs Agnes Southey is standing at the railings with their son, Joe Southey. Standing holding the donkey is Amelia Tremills (adopted daughter). Amelia married Joe Jewell and their son, also Joe Jewell, was living in Porthallow in 1982. The woman in white, standing by the front door, is unknown.
