The 1810s were a decade of cultural and historical significance, marked by the works of renowned English novelist Jane Austen. Her novels, such as "Sense and Sensibility, " captivated readers with their intricate portrayal of societal norms and romantic entanglements. During this time, the Napoleonic Wars raged on, with French uniforms dominating battlefields across Europe. The clash between nations was vividly depicted in paintings like "Colonel Udnys Bay Colt Truffle by Sorcerer Held by a Groom" which showcased the grandeur and power of military horses. Paul Delaroche's painting "Napoleon at Fontainebleau During the First Abdication" portrayed one of history's most significant moments when Napoleon stepped down from power in 1814. Meanwhile Marie Louise, former Empress of France, represented the shifting dynamics within European royalty.
