Bill Currie is a legendary figure in the world of sidecar racing, with an impressive career spanning several decades. In 1971, he teamed up with Keith Scott from GSM Weslake for the thrilling 500 Sidecar TT race. The following year, he joined forces with Frank Kay from G. M. S. For the Sidecar 750 TT event. Fast forward to 2011, and we find Bill Currie partnering with Kevin Morgan on an LCR Yamaha during the Sidecar TT Practice sessions. Throughout his career, Bill has collaborated with some of the best in the business, including Kenny Arthur from Weslake in both 1974 and 1975 for the intense 750 and 1000cc races respectively. In 1999, it was Nick Haslam from Interlock Yamaha who shared the track with Bill during another exhilarating Sidecar TT race. The years continued to bring success as Bill partnered once again with F Haslam from Weslake in both 1972 and 1973 for memorable races. The new millennium saw more exciting collaborations for Bill Currie as he raced alongside Dickie Gale on a Windle Yamaha in the year 2000 and Philip Bridge on a Windle Honda in 2004's Sidecar TT event. Even outside of these iconic events, Bill's talent shone through as he took part in other competitions such as Dennis Booth's Southern 100 race aboard a Yamaha bike back in 2009. Bill Currie's name will forever be etched into sidecar racing history due to his exceptional skills and numerous partnerships that have left fans awe-inspired throughout his remarkable career.
