"Boat Jetty: A Gateway to Serenity and Adventure" Step onto the jetty and embark on a journey through time. This historical postcard takes us back to ca 1910, capturing the Landungsbruecken St. Pauli in Hamburg, Germany. The bustling atmosphere of this vibrant city is palpable as boats dock at the pier, ready to transport passengers across Lake Atitlan. As we gaze upon the picturesque scene, our eyes are drawn towards Volcano San Pedro majestically rising in the distance. Its towering presence adds an element of awe and grandeur to this tranquil setting. Transporting ourselves further into history, we find ourselves in Gdansk, Poland in 1885. New water fills the harbor as ships come alive with activity. This digitally restored reproduction allows us a glimpse into a bygone era where trade and commerce thrived. Moving southwards to Sampierdarena, Genoa in Italy on March 10th, 1888 - King Humbert welcomes Emperor Frederick amidst great fanfare at San Pier d Arena. The boat jetty serves as a symbol of diplomacy and friendship between nations during this historic encounter. Our journey continues along Germany's coastline to Heringsdorf in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania during the late 19th century. The Casino and Pier stand proudly against a backdrop of pristine beaches and azure waters – an idyllic destination for leisurely strolls or romantic rendezvous. Further inland lies Wallwitzhafen on the Elbe River in Saxony-Anhalt circa 1886. An original painting from that time has been digitally reproduced for us to admire its intricate details depicting life at this bustling harbor town. Traveling eastward brings us to Smyrna (now Izmir) in Turkey circa 1870s – witness its gateways and quays teeming with activity as ships arrive from distant lands carrying goods and stories from afar.
